THE DISCOVERY A BOY skips up the hills the mist lifts his spirit he eagerly runs toward the top one tree stands at this point looking down on the hill and all its activities as he approaches he smells the refreshing smell of morning But as he continues the smell turns sour something is wrong he gets to the top of the hill and looks down fifty feet away a man is lying his heart rushes what is happening? his sacred spot is destroyed why does he lie so? he starts to run, what is that smell? what is happening? what is going on? he approaches, the picture becomes clear a man, a young man, lays lifeless never to see the light again the wine of his life still wet upon his ear a few feet away lies a gun, a rose, and a note he opens the note, afraid to see its contents To all who are concerned: You may not understand, but to me it is clear. From you side everything is fun and games, from my side it is not. Too many times I have looked for a future, too many times I have come up short. Death is the only closure I can find in this world, for it is better than life. I ask you one question: What is this life for? But, it is too late now, for I will never know. A MAN trudges down through the hills an addition : the problem with this world is that whenever someone goes crazy or insane, they are labled "insane". At which point nobody seems to want to talk to them, so they become more crazy, and are sent to an insane asylum. At which point the circle is completed and their life is ruined. If someone had helped at the begining why they began to go insane then this could be prevented. So I ask you who do you think is insane? Someone who has seen more than one side of life and has his/her own opinions. Or someone who goes along with the crowd, thinks inside the box. Someone who is "normal." And I ask you is "normal" a good way to live? And I ask you does thinking and acting slightly different make you an "alien" or "insane"? And I ask you, if everyone was the same and "normal" how would you tell the difference between people? Yet, at the same time breaking out of the shell, the stereotype, makes you an outsider. Why? Were did we learn this behavior? Another note: Did you know that suicide is a cry for attention? ____________________________________________________________________
